PostSpy quietly watches the Facebook Groups and Marketplace searches you care about, and emails you the moment something matches what you're actually looking for — not just keywords.
Any Facebook Group you've joined, any Marketplace search URL you'd normally bookmark.
A small chat opens. Tell the AI what you're looking for — "carpenter jobs near Sydney," "Eames lounge under $1500," anything. It'll ask 1–2 follow-ups, then save it.
PostSpy quietly checks the page on a random 5–30 minute rhythm. When a new post matches, you get an email with a one-line summary and a link straight to the post.
PostSpy doesn't just match keywords — it understands intent. So you can watch for things to buy and people who need you.
"Need a chippy" should match "looking for a carpenter." PostSpy uses local embeddings + Claude Haiku to understand intent, not just word overlap.
Real browser, real account, real residential IP. Jittered visits, sequential not parallel, hard caps on page loads/day, pauses when you're on Facebook yourself.
No form to fill. The AI asks what you mean, refines, confirms. You either get exactly what you want or talk it into shape.
Debounced email digests when matches hit. Side-panel dashboard with an accordion per watch, unread badges that clear when you click through.
Only flags posts that are genuinely new since the last visit. Old IDs sweep automatically. No re-spamming.
Everything lives in your browser. No cloud sync, no shared scraper farm, no account database. Your watches are yours.
PostSpy includes the AI matching engine and email delivery — no API keys to manage. Tiered by spies and how fast they check.
Try it on one spy.
For one need + a hobby.
For tradies and Marketplace flippers.
For agencies & lead-gen pros.
All tiers include the AI matching, conversational spy setup, and email delivery — nothing extra to plug in.
No. You log in to Facebook the normal way, in any Chrome tab. PostSpy shares Chrome's cookies — it never sees, stores, or touches your Facebook credentials.
No. PostSpy opens its own hidden background tabs on a randomised 5–30 minute schedule. You just need Chrome running and to have logged into Facebook in Chrome at some point.
PostSpy is read-only and behaves like a power user — your real browser, your real IP, no automation patterns, hard caps on visits per day, jittered timing, sequential not parallel. We make no guarantees, but the risk profile is much closer to "you browsing" than to "a scraping bot."
For typical personal use: $1–3 per month on Anthropic credits (pennies per matched post), $0 on Resend (free tier covers 3,000 emails/month), and $0 on embeddings (they run locally). PostSpy itself is free.
Matches arriving within ~2 minutes are bundled into a single email per watch. You can set a daily email cap (default 30/day). And the 👍 / 👎 feedback in the dashboard nudges thresholds higher if too many borderline matches sneak through.
Locally, in your Chrome profile's IndexedDB. There's no PostSpy cloud backend. The only things that leave your machine are: (a) post text sent to Anthropic for the judge call, and (b) the email sent through Resend's API. Both use your own keys, so you control them.
Not needed. Matches arrive as plain emails — open them on any phone. (A native iOS companion is a "maybe later" if there's demand.)
